The Scottsboro boys were nine young men that got arrested for white men threatening to lynch them if they didn't get of the train. They got their name because they were put in a jail near Scottsboro, Alabama.

"The real reason was that He was going with a black woman, and he caught her and Elmore Bolling together."(p.89)

Working as secretary of NAACP affected Rosa's life good and bad. Rosa didn't want to be secretary, but she was to timid to say no. When she got elected to be secretary she was fine with it because Parks was very supportive for her.
