Jackie Robinson biography

Jackie Robinson was born on January 31, 1919 in Cairo, Georgia. Jackie was born to Jerry and Mallie Robinson. He was the youngest of five siblings, they were Edgar, Frank, Matthew and Willa Mae. In 1920 Jackie and his family moved to Pasadena, CA. Jackie went to Washington Jr. High School, and went to Pasadena Jr. College and graduated from UCLA.
Jackie Robinson was the first African American baseball player to play Major League Baseball. Jackie was special because he had courage and pride to play baseball as the only African American there. Jackie changed the course of history because he was the only Black man on the field and was able to take the pressure of the fans and other players who discriminated against him. Jackie also changed history by breaking the color barrier in MLB. Jackie changed history because he encouraged other races to chase their dreams and prove they are worthy of doing anything.
In 1942 Jackie was drafted into the military as World War II was happening. Jackie left the military in 1945 right when World War II was ending. When Jackie left the military he was offered a 400 dollar contract to play baseball on the Kansas City Monarchs. Jackie got married to Rachel Robinson and had three kids named, Jackie Jr., David and Sharon Robinson. On October 24, 1972 (age 53) from a heart attack. Rachel Robinson died in 1972. They both left inspiration for the whole world.

She went to college at Alabama State Teachers College for Negros. Rosa got married to Raymond Parks 1932.
Rosa parks changed history and put an impact on society. She impacted society because she proved that segregation is not ok. She also changed history because she would not let any white person boss her around because she was black. Another way she impacted society was that she was able to prove that black people deserve all rights. She also impacted society because she stood up to the bus driver and the police man. Another way she impacted society was that she helped us understand that black’s and white are both the same.
In 1992, Parks published Rosa Parks: My Story. Her husband died of throat cancer on August 19, 1977. Her brother died of cancer that same year but in November (1977). On August 8, 1995, she was sentenced to eight to fifteen years in prison. Rosa Parks died in Detroit on October 24, 2005. She died of natural causes at the age of 92. Rosa Parks broke the whole barrier between Black and White people.

Charles Langford was born on December 9, 1922 in Montgomery, Alabama. His full name is Charles D. Langford. Charles was born in a Christian family. He went to Tuskegee Institute for two years, then he got drafted to the U.S. Army during World War II. He was discharged from the army in 1946. He continued to go to school at Tennessee State University. Charles eventually got a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business in 1948.
Charles Langford's impact on society was representing African-Americans in civil rights cases, because when he helped them, some segregation laws changed. Charles was a lawyer, his partner in law was Fred Gray. He represented Rosa Parks in the civil Rights case in the 1960's. This case was about Rosa not giving up her bus seat to a white man. In this case they changed the bus segregation rule. He has also helped several other people in other cases too.
Later in Charles life, he stayed in Montgomery to represent more African-Americans in their civil-rights cases. Langford served in the Senate for five terms, he retired in 2002. Charles died on February 11, 2007 in his home, in Montgomery. Langford was eighty-four when he died. He died in his sleep. His funeral was on February 16, 2007.
