Verb: A word used to describe an action, state, or occurrence [Ex.1. I washed the car today. [Ex.2. I like listening to music. [Ex.3. I studied for the test tomorrow.
Adjective: A describing word [Ex.1. That is an interesting idea. [Ex.2. Tell me something awesome. [Ex.3. The test was confusing.
Adverb: The part of speech that modifies a verb, adjective, or other adverb. [Ex.1. The movie was awesome. [Ex.2. Only employees are allowed to go in there. [Ex.3. I usually eat eggs for breakfast.
Prepositions: A word or phrase placed typically before a substantive [Ex.1. The boat was going against the current. [Ex.2. We went onto the boat before everyone else. [Ex.3. The boat went past a lot of small boats.
