Ten Letter Ch.1
In chapter one of Ten Letters it explains how everyday thousands of letters are sent to the president. The president get 10 letters each day and responds to each one. Everyday he goes into his office and reads the letters and will either type or hand write a letter back to them depending on how formal he wants it to be. He usually is either heart broken and felling bad for the people who have written the letters, or he will either be motivated and inspired by the letters he gets and it will be different each day and he looks forward to it.
Ten Letters Ch.2In Ten Letters chapter two, by Eli Saslow, it is talking about Stefan who graduating high school and his mom is struggling to pay the bills and send him to school. Stefan learns about Obama and is inspired by him. Stefan decides to run for president of Student Council because Obama has inspired him. Everyone also class him Obama because he looks the same as him and sort of acts like him. Stefan then wrote a letter to Obama and explained to him what is happening and he responded back with a small notecard. Stefan was then very popular and he was put in the local newspaper. Stefan graduates with straight A’s and received a scholarship which helps out his mother. His mom still struggles to pay the bills but works to jobs to get him thorough college. Stefan and his mom then take a tour of the White House. Stefan said how he really felt how he was meant to be up there and that it felt right.
